Purpose: Donate the Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) to University Health System (UHS) and Feeding Healthcare Heroes.

 

Project Location: University Health System (UHS), San Antonio, Texas

 

Effort: Ekasila Foundation USA Coordinators made inquiries with multiple suppliers and had secured a supply of N-95 Masks, Surgical Masks, Gloves, Gowns, Shoe Covers, Sanitizers, and Thermometers and donated to the local healthcare professions for their protection in their combat against COVID-19.

 

Sponsors: Many generous contributors and coordinators of Ekasila Foundation USA made this fund-raising event possible while Biryani Pot Indian Cuisine sponsored the food.

 

 

Distribution: Donated supplies and food were distributed across various locations within the University Health System (UHS), which is a 100-year-old tertiary hospital system with a level I trauma center in South Texas region serving millions of patients and families in Bexar County and beyond.

 

Primary locations the food and PPEs were distributed to:

       1. Tech Center

       2. Dialysis South

       3. Center for Health Care Services, Fredericksburg Clinic

       4. Center for Health Care Services, Restoration Center

       5. Center for Health Care Services, PEC

       6. RBG Clinical Pavilion

       7. Medical Center Pavilion

 

Feedback: It was very well received by both UHS leadership as well as the staff benefitted by this donation with a great sense of joy and gratitude.
